Afternoon tea

I made sultana biscuits this afternoon to take to the in-laws for afternoon tea. But I could not help myself, I had a few with a cuppa just to taste test them. Quality control is important you know.

Also please note my beautiful Royal Doulton Countess tea set that I bought on ebay and had shipped to Australia at huge expense last year. So worthwhile. I just love it. Now if I could just learn to love washing it up!

Now that is my kind of afternoon tea - I remember my grandmother giving me cups and saucers as a teenager. I didnt get why they were so great and wished she had given me jewellery or something. Now of course I appreciate them, mainly with cupcakes of course. I can also totally get why you would ahve to go to great expense to get your Royal Doulton on ebay. Quality control is critical - I highly recommend it!

Nice china is lovely to use. I have some bits that I've inherited (including one with a ledge across to protect your mostache from getting in your tea.)

I've only just starting drinking tea so that I can use it sometimes.

Oh boy do you ever know how to serve it up: a girl after my own heart, and vegan to boot! I love that recipe, and I've saved it. I also love the idea of being served afternoon tea that way. A fine thought....
I'm a vegetarian, not vegan. I live in a village in India and the darling cows are protected and loved and give us their milk willingly. None are killed for any reason. Hey....drop on over to my blog...
