We went to Andrew's 29th Birthday last Saturday night. It was a really good night.
It was a fancy dress party. The guests had to dress up as the favorite character they had played in a musical or one of the characters Andrew had played in a muscial. Since we haven't been in shows Tom went as Frank from "Annie get your gun" and I went as Annie.
It was great to see some people we hadn't seen for a very long time and catch up with what they were doing.
Kat catered the whole party and even went to the trouble of doing special gluten and corn free meals for Cam and I. Which was very nice of her.
The band did a good job and there were lots of people dancing. Tom and I were too tired by that stage to participate.
Here is a picture of us in our costumes.

Wii Party
Food poisoning
I got a mild case of food poisoning this week. Very unpleasant because I happened to be away from home in Canberra at the time. A couple of people I went to dinner with said they felt a bit queasy after eating the prawns - I scoffed at their sensitive stomachs. The next day another couple of people I was traveling with said they felt sick from the prawns the night before - I scoffed and let everyone know that I felt fine. Then at about 10 am I started to feel very sick. Very sick.
We were at the conference area of the CSIRO in Canberra. I sat outside the room for a while concentrating very hard on not vomiting. One of the ladies from CSIRO took pity on me and gave me some panadol. She arranged for me to lie down in one of their education rooms. They had lots of big cushion for kids to sit on when they listen to educational talks on science. I made the cushions into a bed and had a nice sleep.
I woke up feeling much better and by the time I was in the qantas club waiting to go home I felt well enough to eat a few too many sausage rolls. Thank goodness for that.
