I want in on the roast turkey, potatoes, yams and stuffing action.
I think I will start with eggnog
Foamy Hot Eggnog
- 4 cups milk
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg, plus additional for dusting
- 1 cup dark rum
Instructions
- Heat milk in a medium saucepan over moderate heat (do not boil).
- Whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg in a large bowl. Gradually whisk in 1 cup hot milk in a slow stream. Whisk egg mixture into remaining milk in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until it thickens and registers 170° F on an instant-read thermometer.
- Blend in small batches in a blender until frothy. Divide rum among 8 heatproof glasses and top with eggnog. Dust top with nutmeg.
